About Me

I'm a successful professional woman. I live in Dallas, Texas. I'm married, no kids, one black German Shepherd. I discovered Illuminessensce while I was meeting women in Dallas. After traveling and commuting regularly for over a decade, I finally started living in Dallas day to day. Part of the transition from living in other cities throughout the week and being back in Dallas, was an effort to meet women locally and creating a local network of powerful connected women. While participating in a group called WOVI, I kept noticing how some of the women really stood out. Consistently, over and over, I kept noticing something different about these women. Finally I found out what it was - everyone had been "toned."  That holiday season, Sheila offered a profiling session at a silent auction & I jumped on it.

Be careful what you wish for!  I learned that I was a Tone III. That means I should wear autumnal type colors, very earthy and golden. And every time I dress, my entire look should exude those golden earthy colors and the words Dynamic, Rich, Textured, Angled, Sure and Substantial.

I was totally freaked out when I learned this, since I had never worn any of those autumn colors - green, gold, yellow and brown. My entire wardrobe for many years was what we might refer to as Winter - all the black, white, red, purple, blue and strong silver pieces. Like what many other business women wear on a regular basis. Not at all what a Tone III wears. But, I decided to embrace and try it all. What you will read on this blog is the journey and learnings that I have made and will continue.

It's a fascinating process and one that I wish for everyone!

Disclaimer #1: I am NOT an Illuminessensce Consultant. Anything that I put in here (unless otherwise stated) is just my opinion, or what I think works.  Also, we are unique (even all the Tone IIIs) and everything would not look good on all of us, so remember, this is just me!

Disclaimer #2: I'm taking all the photos (at least most of them) with my phone. It's hard to get enough light, especially sunlight, on all the pieces - so my apologies. It would be nicer to show some of the richness of the colors, so I'll keep working on that.
