Fab Find - Dress Suit

I'm always disappointed with how the colors turn out in my shots. This was an amazing suit - the sheath dress, the matching jacket and the matching scarf. All in the most wonderfully rich golds and browns. The print is pure Tone III, still and solid.

I don't know that I'd wear all of these pieces together, but I wanted every single piece in my wardrobe - but I'm not a size 8. I think the whole set was under $100 at the consignment shop!

What a Fab Find!

If anyone ever wants to know where to get these - just send me a message!

Fab Find - Etcetera Suit

Great Suit at one of my favorite consignment stores. For just over $100 this two piece pantsuit from Etcetera. I really wish the colors would show up better. The corduroy has a wonderful richness, and stripes in all of our great colors. It was so soft. Do you see the angles of the pocket flaps and the lapels as well as the squared off edges of jacket itself. This item originally sold (about 2 years ago) for about $280.

Challenge - light colors

I know we can't wear black, white or blue jeans. Well, can't might be too strong a word, we can wear whatever we wish, but those things don't support us. One of the things I miss is the striking look of all white in the summer, with a pop of color. Striking is a Tone IV term, ours is Rich. I guess I'll figure it out over time.

I know, summer's almost over - but it is still almost 100 degrees here in Texas.

Did any of you have that challenge? What have you come up with? Would you share a photo of that great summer outfit to compete with all white?

Fab Finds

Fab Finds
These are things I run across in my day to day life. They might be in a thrift store, or a consignment shop or a regular store. Usually they are something that is in some way inappropriate for me, (wrong size, wrong price, doesn't fit) but would be perfect for someone else. Or, they are just unique in some interesting way.

I post these things to get you thinking. Usually its something you wouldn't find the ordinary retail store these days. As opposed to the Tone III items from traditional stores that I'll post when I see them. I will try to give you the brands and the store for those.

Fab Finds are more One Of A Kind. Would love to see a picture of your Fab Finds when you find them!

Challenge - Glasses

I get compliments on my glasses all the time, from other Toned folks, and from just ordinary folks that see me at the grocery store, or at meetings. So I'm coming clean now about them. And sharing how I got them to look the way they are now.
Here's two pictures of what they used to look like. Ordinary black plastic Raybans, nice rectangular shape, silver sides.

I rarely wore them, but after getting Toned, I realized the shape was just right for a Tone III, but the black and silver was all wrong. Sheila always talks about adapting things. Her two favorite ways to adapt are by dyeing or by painting with nail polish. This looked like the perfect opportunity for nail polish!

SO - I bought a bunch of gold and bronze polishes and started to experiment. And, here are the results! I did this about 6 months ago, wear them every day and they might finally need a little touch up. Let me know if you have any questions!
